Time Zones

Wow, we finally made it out of Charlotte. Although our original departure time was 10am, we actually hit the road at 5pm...so we were close to our goal ( in a moon is closer to earth than Mars sort of way)!

The process of moving towards something new always has marker moments along the way to symbolize the journey. Our first stop, our first marker moment away from our beloved Charlotte was ....Shelby (Chick-fil-A). Ok, so we are still working on more meaningful moments, but you have to start somewhere, right?

Since our trip will span about 9 days, we will be making stops in each time zone. As we thought about this yesterday we realized something. In the past, we have taken trips around the U.S. and world, but always spent time recalculating the time at "home" or simply refused to reset our watches. Now our watches have to change. Home is a new place. Our calculation must change.

Anyhoo, I imagine resetting our watches will be the least of our changes.
